Here is a brief summary of changes made to these gff files.

12-08-2006 - Initial release as part of FB2006_01.

1-10-2007 - Fixed a nonexistent parent problem with child objects of genes that have been
            obsoleted.

          - Fixed a nonexistent parent problem with directly localized genome features ("Misc.
            Genomic feature" tracks in FlyBase GBrowse).  In this case, the parents of these 
            features were being set even if the parent gene had not yet been localized to 
            the genome.

1-23-2007 - Added the newly reimplemented tiling BACs.  These are now directly localized
            features on the genome instead of being match/match_part analysis features.
            The feature types are 'BAC_cloned_genomic_insert'.

          - Added a new proteomic analysis dataset.  You can find these features with
            a source of 'blastp_Dmel_proteomic' and a type of match/match_part.

4-13-2007 - Added the GFF Ontology_term field to gene features.

4-27-2007 - Fixed a problem with insertions where if the strand was not known it was
            being assigned to the + strand.  Now we correctly use a '.' to indicate
            an empty strand field according to the GFF v3 spec.
